Dramm shares the tale of his close friend, Amery, a man who once worked the forge alongside him in the Abyssal Reach. Amery desperately wanted to become a master smith like Vronn, competing in numerous forging tournaments, yet he was always stopped short as the runner-up. Tragically, after one crushing defeat, he vanished without a trace, leaving Dramm wondering if his friend completely abandoned his forging dreams. Thinking back on this fills Dramm's heart with deep emotion; even if Amery is still alive, he must be weathered by old age by now, and they likely wouldn't even recognize each other if they met.
